The Gap, Brecon
Planning on doing the Gap this weekend! Hoping someone who has done this route before can advise?
From what ive seen it appears to be a very rocky decent. Question is. is it rocky enough to warrant sticking 2.4 chunkey monkeys on in place of my current 2.25 smorgasbord tyres? Im riding a 140mm full suss On one codeine
Thanks

You'll be fine on what you've got. Yes it is lumpy at the top, you'll be wanting to pick a good line and maybe slow down a bit.
I had a pinch flat up there last year, so ride tubeless or take a spare inner tube (or, like me, sit and repair a double puncture as you've got the wrong spare tube).0 -
Cheers...saves me a job then and some tyre sealantOn One Codeine

Smorgasbord will be fine for the descent and better for the rest of the ride. Keep the speed up on the rocky section, your more likely to pinch flat or crash if you're on the brakes.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
