Prescription sunglasses

Anyone got any gems for prescription shades?

I refuse to drop £200+ on a pair of oakleys - seen some decent deals for 'uvex' sunglasses. Anyone have the same issue as me in that my eyes don't get on with contacts, so have to buy prescription sunglasses.

Thoughts welcome!

A lot of them but scan through this lot might help.

I use a pair of these that I originally bought for Clay Pigeon Shooting but they serve just as well for cycling:

If you look elsewhere on the Amazon page, there are a number of other options.

The frames on mine are silver coloured. As always, I got the prescription from a local optician but had the prescription insert done via an on line company for about £20.

They work for me anyway - like you, I baulk at the cost of Oakleys. I won't deny that they are very good but £200 is taking the pi** just a little bit.

I use online opticians to get good deals. I think I paid around £135 for these with transition lenses couple of years ago. They're still serving me well. I have decent shades to wear over contact but 90% of the time just leave the transitions on...
