DT Swiss X1700 Spline 29" wheels

How do you find these wheels (if you have them or have ridden using them)?- if you thought they weren't up to it then what would you buy?

Also are they pretty easy to covert to tubeless?

Thinking of getting them and they will be used for XC training.

Constantly trying to upgrade my parts.It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.
