    Give me a proper nut any time, get better grip on them and you can use a breaker bar for more leverage if needed.
    Allen keys tend to slip and grind the socket out if they are torqued up too tight.

    Couldn't get mine off yesterday. Only had an adjustable and there was no chance, not without totally scratching up the crank arm. A £10 pedal spanner and they came off easy.
