Argon 18 Krypton sizing guide

I am looking at a new frame to build a bike around and Argon 18 Krypton caught my eye, however the sizing on the website isn't as helpful as I would like. There is no seat tube c-t length.

I am currently riding a Focus Variado, size Large and have not had any issues with aches and pains, having ridden tri races, leisure rides and LEJOG. The position isn't particularly aggresive, however I would like to increase this aspect of my riding. I do a reasonable amount of climbing and thought this would support me in my quest to spend more time going up and enjoying coming down.

I am 177cm tall, inside leg; 82 and trunk 62.

Any thoughts and advice very much appreciated.

    Geometry here

I'm a bit taller than you, with a slightly longer inseam ( 179cm and 84cm) and I ride a Medium Gallium Pro. I'd suggest that you should ride a small Krypton

Superb, thank you for your advice. That would seem very small, but it makes sense as the lengths of the top tube appeared longer than other relative group geometry.

I should say that I have a relaxed position - quite upright - for sportives etc. Had I been after a "full race" position I might have been recommended the Large. I had a basic bike fit to confirm sizing before I bought, and a Retul position check afterwards,

Thank you again. That is also useful. Any other thoughts out there?

I feel like when I bought my first road bike, thinking Large sounded about right. Fortuantely it worked out pretty well. The Large was a 56.

I know I should go and get fitted, but again, does it not depend on who is settingyou up and their own preferences?

I'm 169cm with 78cm inseam and I ride a 2012 Krypton in Small. For me the ride is reasonably upright, not slammed but also not tourer. I know this all a bit vague but hope it helps in a small way.

Definitely, thank you very much, all advice is very welcome and appreciated.
  • I'm 178cm and have a medium krypton. I think it's a great frame and would recommend.

Argon Krypton is by far the most stupid and confusing name I have ever heard...

Do they also make a Xenon and a Radon by chance?
