I've converted my Voodoo Hoodoo into a SS but the chain seems to be very tight? it's the stock chain, is it suppose to be really tight or should it sag, it feels like the chain is going to explode. Do I need a SS specific chain

You need to size it correctly which might require the use of tensioner.

I have a tensioner installed but if I add another link the chain sags & derails? does it matter if the tensioner is at the rear or front?

Tensioner scare normally fitted to the mech hanger. And are sprung.

Sorted it thanks, I fitted it to the BB, so I used an old flexible 1 & fitted it to where the derailluer was, running smooth now & doesn't feel like it's going to snap, many thanks
