Headset - worn into straight ahead mode

Hi,
I have an old Raleigh Kelloggs circa 1988.
The headset is self aligining i.e. clicks into the straight ahead mode, as if there is a groove worn into the headset that it snaps into.
Now I know I'll need some new bearing and bearing cages, but do I need to do anything with the headset cups that are pressed into the frame?
Also if anyone knows the cage sizes I need that would be most helpful...

If you have brinneled it then change the whole lot.
Read the how to on parktools and if you don't have all the tools think about just leaving it to your LBS to supply and change."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
