Hello!
Can I mount 185 rear shock on my Dartmoor Shine?
Monarch rt3 is the shock that I want. The original shock was x-fusion rl2 190/51.
And can I mount new shock on the lower mount hole?

Why not fit the same size monarch?
By stroke cooldad means the 51 part of your current shock size. By fitting a different length shock i.e 185 instead of 190 you will alter the geometry and then altering the stroke i.e 51 it will alter the amount of rear travel.
Im guessing you mean the debonair version of the rt3. Tf tuned sell it in 190/51, next size down is 184/44.

I'd phone them, pretty knowledgeable and hopefully will have experience of your frame0 -
Having had two Monarch RT3's they aren't brilliant and certainly not good enough to be worth compromising your bikes handling.
Mid stroke isn't a stroke length. It will be measured in millimetres. You also need to get the right compression and rebound tune otherwise you will find you can't get it set up to work right.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
