Wondering what narrow wide chainring to go for, whether to get the superstar one over the raceface one and save myself a few quid. Anyone had one?

I e got the superstar one dies its job. Some have said the finish isn't brilliant but mine was fine.
Uberbike have released one and I believe it's £20 this weekend, probably worth a shot at that price. One one also have one too, not sure on price right now though"0 -
I have the on-one, get something else.....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I'm happy with my superstar one, not used any others. Works Components n/w gets good reviews too.0

I had a works on my previous spesh & have a superstar on the Orange. Both are spot on. Go for the superstar.0

I have a Raceface on 2 bikes they have been used hard through all conditions and still going strong.
I have used a Superstar on my Cube and it lasted 300 miles and that one had the least amount of wet/muddy rides, I wouldn't buy another one, they are cheap for a reason.
I now use a 32T and a 34T Works Components both have been used hard and are showing no signs of wear and are quieter than the Raceface rings.0 -
I have superstar, raceface and hope. Like the hope best....take your pickelf on your holibobs....

They I have a Superstar ring, done a good few thousand miles in all conditions and still got plenty of life left. Just bought a smaller ring for a particularly hilly ride. The only reason I didn't buy Superstar this time is they were out of stock in sensible colours so bought an Absolute Black oval ring for a bit extra cash.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I've owned the Raceface, Superstar and Blackspire options. The Superstar has been the worst and the Blackspire the best.
The Raceface doesn't actually perform badly but is also the most expensive and I found the anodising to be sub par. The Superstar is just ok. The machining could be better (it had to wear in a little before the chain sat comfortably on it), the anodising is ok but it's far worse in the mud compared to other options. The Blackspire is great. Anodising is easily the best I have had on a chain ring, it has been quieter than the Superstar and is cheaper than the Raceface.
I wouldn't buy a Superstar again and if Blackspire did a purple option, that'd be all I'd buy. Overall though all three rings have done the job they are supposed to do, just some have done it better.0 -
I have an E Thirteen and a Blackspire. The Blackspire is great and it looks hardly worn after about 4 months use. The E Thirteen is ok too, but the finish doesn't seem as durable.Stumpjumper FSR Comp 650B http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13032340

No idea if you've made a decision yet on which ring you want but superstar have also got a bank holiday sale today with 15% off theirs with the code SP150

Blackspire and Raceface here - both good and showing little sign of wear or age. I'd get either again for sure but will probably try an oval when I have to replace one so Absolute Black is likely.Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0

Used both RaceFace and AbsoluteBlack with now issue. Have friends using Superstar with no issues either.
You would be safe with any that have been mentioned so far so it really down to spend and colour choice.Bird Aeris : Trek Remedy 9.9 29er : Trek Procaliber 9.8 SL0
