Hi All

Anyone using a 661 Recon, just wondering how hot a helmet it is ? Using a Giro Hex at the moment.

I've got one, ventilation is ok, not really any different the bell stroker I've also got. I like it but if possible try for fit first as usual.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes going to try before I buy, just can't tell how well the vents work until your working hard.

Much of a muchness, really. Can't say the 661 is noticeably hotter than the other two helmets I've got. None of there are exactly cool once you're putting some effort in.
All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

Although I love the styling, I personally found it a bit heavy, hot and uncomfortable.

I have ridden with one for the last three years or so. Certainly no hotter than previous helmets (Giro). Still my favourite in terms of fit and all-round useability (visor in the right place, comfortable and easily adjustable strap set up, cool enough etc.)
