Why no reviews of Kuota bikes?

I am looking to upgrade from my Merida ride 300 and local dealer stocks Kuota bikes and they look excellent spec etc.

Just interested to know why there seems to be very few reviews of any Kuota bikes in the usual UK magazines / websites?

Any reason why and any views on these brand of bikes?

Thanks!

The Kharma was Bike of the Year in Cycling Plus back in 2013. Quick review at this link

It wasn't bike of the year.. It was one of the group of bikes they tested.... but not bike of the year... definitely not with a 3.5 star score!

Because they are not giant, spesh, cannondale, the big hitters of the industry.

I have a 2009 kharma - for what I paid they wre lots of comparable bikes at the time - the Kharma outscored everything in the same price range on looks (imo of course) - and lost out because it was slightly heavier than most bikes in its class.

If buying again - I wouldn't go kuota mainly because of that aero seat post - which is a pain to adjust - Ive also had loads of injuries in the upper hamstrings \ buttocks pelvis - and with that seat post I can't edge the saddle slightly to the side. Thats all from a geezer in his 50's so its probably an age thing rather than a bike thing. - its a titanuim next for me !

in terms of reliability and build quality its been fine.

I have a Canyon CF SL (new mould) and a Cervelo R5 and I borrowed a buddy's KOM Evo for a silly Swiss grand fondo. I was blown away with how good the bike was. Light, stiff, very responsive in steering and drivetrain, the handling was good at 70kph. Wasn't the most comfortable but it had R-Sys wheels which are notoriously stiff.

He might be selling a 56cm frame (he has 3 Kuotas!). Let me know if you are keen on one.

R Sys wheels are stiff, doesn't make them uncomfortable however...

Another Kuota owner here, a 2014 Kharma. I love it, like mentioned above it's probably not the lightest bike at the price point but that frame is superbly stiff and rewards all effort with forward momentum. It's quite a racy bike for someone of my age (early 50s) but after getting a retul fit at the time of ordering I now have a bike that is pretty comfortable and is a joy to ride. On descents it's superb.

I really like the fact you can spec the bike exactly how you want it, not like having to buy a bike off the peg.

Just for info mine is specced with Rival 22 and Fulcrum Racing Quattro wheels.

Thanks! The local place to me is at ellerton lake and they do the retul fit aswell. Wife got a Kuota and seems really happy with hers.
