campag record 9spd chain

I am replacing my Veloce groupset old chain with a new record 9spd. It says it uses a perma link - do I need special campag tool?

Or could I (should I) use a KMC missing link?

    I've used Record nine speed chains for years on my tourer and have always shortened and rejoined in the traditional way using a standard chaintool with no problems at all. I can't remember there ever being any special joining links on Record nine speed chains - only for 10 and 11 speed. Don't know whether it' s a new thing by Campagnolo to include a permalink with nine speed chains but you could always bypass it and join in the traditional way. If doing that worries you, use a KMC quick link.
