Downtube shifting is great - once you get used to it, it's as easy as reaching for a bottle, and virtually no maintenance is needed. But those extension brake levers you have are often referred to as suicide levers for a reason - get rid.0

Although I find it fun to ride with downtube shifters every now and then, I never feel very safe!0 -

As someone who grew up with D/T shifters, and has since tried the modern 'all in one' brake and gear shifters, I wouldn't go back. But you have to start somewhere! But agree about the suicide levers - horrible things, get rid.

Not seen this camera position used before, and its strange to see for the first time. But it works, I like it. Keep it up.
