Hola party people and Cooldad...
Anyone know if there is proper coverage of the EWS like the UCI WC? just wondering, enjoying my weekends watching the downhill, even a little xc but would really love to see a EWS program and cant find anything.

I would make a suitably grumpy reply if I had any idea what EWS means.I don't do smileys.

Enduro isn't as good a spectator sport as DH or XC. It also lacks the big sponsorship and backing of the UCI.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I'm not sure that backing of UCI is a great thing sometimes though.
I've the EWS website but there isn't a show, if that makes sense just a few clips and all. I personally like a bit of coverage, I find it pretty interesting. but DH is nice and easy to do good coverage being on a relatively short 4k or so course very easy to cover from a filming point.
would just love to see a good bit of coverage.0 -
I really enjoy watching the XC and to a lesser extent the DH on Redbull. I think the round-up videos they've made of the Enduro Series have been too short and not really given a proper flavour of the different stages. Understandably given the lesser cash available and the less camera friendly set-up of the sport, but it means I have no real interest in watching them or following the EWS0

The length of a DH course makes it relatively cheap to cover, XC you can have gaps in coverage by looking at other riders while the leaders are in the gaps, Enduro has neither advantage.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Give it a few years and there will be small drones following a certain height and distance behind some kind of chip attached to the riders back, bike or helmet, and coverage will be seamless!0

That technology is already upon us. Like you say, we might not have to wait too long before we see it used commercially.
I like what I've seen of EWS and similar, the Curtis Kean thing was ok to watch, it is more difficult to cover well though.Bird Aeris. DMR Trailstar. Spesh Rockhopper pub bike.0 -
One thing is for sure about the ews, the photos look amazing.
