Hi All

Do i just buy a separate chain tool (from Halfords- £7) or do i splash out on a multitool first as last ?

In need of one as i have snapped my first chain !!!!!

    +1

The chain tool is more than adequate for road emergencies, but I prefer using a proper full sized tool for routine work like shortening new chains.

The Hexus uses one of its tyre levers to turn the chain tool, which allows you to easily apply the necessary torque.

The tyre levers themselves are adequate but I prefer to carry Pedros levers which are strong enough for the tightest tyres.
