I know this forum talks absolute shoot most the time, but that article is genuinely fascinating! Such a simple solution to a problem!

Congratulations on your new status! :D

I'm quite tempted to get one - as I buy iron supplements. However, we dont really eat that many soupy based things :-( I dont think it'd work on the BBQ!

Thank you, although I suspect commiserations may be more in order.
Start eating things like a Lancashire hot pot. Get a slow cooker, I like the idea of something like that in something very middle class like a slow cooker.

Are you saying Lancashire is lower than "middle class"?

Not at all*, my Dad's from Lancashire. Well he was, it's now part of Greater Manchester and he's absolutely bloody furious about it.
No the fish was made for some of the poorest people in the world and a slow cooker would be utterly alien to them.

    * Although it might be a bit of fun.

We have a slow cooker we're just too disorganised to get up in the morning to put something in it!

    mmmmmmmmmhotpot....

Perhaps I could boil it up in a pasta pan? Or I could just eat more leafy green veg and red meat washed down with guiness!

This. It says Lancashire on my birth certificate and I'll be damned if anyone says Bury isn't in Lancashire! (Manchester Council still put Lancashire on their address!)

The old man's from Bolton. I now live in Kingston which I say is Surrey, even though it's been part of Greater London since 1972. The bizarre bit is Surrey County Council still has it's offices in Kingston.

 People from Bolton seem to be like the Irish or Australians. They all seem to have left their place of origin, but keep telling you how great it is.

You're just jealous cause we have good weather. First day of winter, not a cloud in the sky and 17c. Believe it or not the TV is describing 17c as an early cold snap. :D:D

If I wanted to live there I could.
