Geared road bike that's equivalent to a Langster?

Currently commute on a 54cm Specialised Langster and the fit (I'm 5ft 7) is great, it feels like the bike really is part of me, when putting in the effort. Have had a medium Cayo in the past (sadly stolen) and also ride a medium Cinelli Experience. Both the Cayo and Experience are nice rides, but the balance/weight distribution aren't the same. Aside from the Allez, obviously, are there any geared road bikes under £1500 that ride like a Langster, with similar geometry?

Just going by the geometry, the 54cm Specialized CruX is very similar. You can do this process for yourself - look at the geometry chart on Specialized's website, and then compare it to the same charts that exist on just about every other cycle manufacturer's website. And 54cm is a pretty common size for your LBS to have in stock for you to try out.

However, my own experience of looking at the geometry charts is that they won't tell you what's right for you. I looked through the charts to see what was most similar to my then-current bike, but when I tried a couple out I found that a longer frame suited me better. So try a couple out and see what suits you.

Thanks, will take a look! Have experimented with different stem lengths, makes a big difference to how stretched out you are. Will see how a Cube Agree 56cm stacks up as well.

I'm 5'11" and ride a 54 Langster. How short is your stem?

5' 11" too but ride a 56cm Tricross Single with std 110cm stem.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
