What front mech to replace 2300?

Cant find a 2300 Shimano front mech for my 2012 Allez. What could I get instead? My bike is 8 speed but does that effect anything? Could I go for Tiagra or 105?

    Claris FD-2400-B band on -F brazed on 2 x 8sp will be the nearest equivalent.
