Hi all,
Looking at getting some new flat pedals around the £40 mark, there are 2 that I have in mind at the moment around the pricepoint which have both had positive reviews -
Shimano saint MX80 Flat Pedals
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shim ... -prod82557 @ £35
and
DMR V12's
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/dmr- ... prod118165 @ £40
I'm clueless when it comes to pedals, these are just the main two the stood out over reviews for the price point, any input would be brilliant. Not looking for anything overkill just a nice set of flats for XC/Trails
Thanks all!

Yes, buy direct from SS. That's why they're such good value. All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

+1 for superstars - cheap, good platform, bearings have been fine (14 months use to date)0

Superstar pedals are good. Also look at Exotic, Nukeproof and Kona pedals, they are all the same as Superstar but rebranded.
Personally I would go with Saints. No better to ride on but much better long-term with a better axle assembly which makes servicing very simple.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
New Nukeproof Electrons get good reviews too. Plastic rather than metal so they're a wee bit lighter than some others. Cheapest I've seen them lately is http://www.ubyk.co.uk/nukeproof-electro ... dals/21588 (£31)0

I've been looking at getting some saints as I currently have wellgo mg1's they are a little beat up and would prefer some beefier pedals.
superstar pedals are ok, I have a pair of nanos and one of the pedals has annoying click which I cant seem to get rid off even after a bearing swap and plenty of grease.0 -
I've got Electrons and Saints both are excellent I use trainers on my bike and to get best grip you should remove some or all of the spacer washers on the pins. Makes the pins protrude more and better grip....take your pickelf on your holibobs....
jeez :roll:0 -
+1 for the Saints - recently put these on and give a positive grippy feel underfoot0
