Here's my Bird Zero 3 which I've had since last August. Have to say its a very impressive bike and is certainly capable of more than I am! Got some great service from Ben and the chaps at Bird so I'd definitely recommend them.

It's had a few changes from the standard Deore that came on it in that I've got an SLX rear mech and brakes on it now. I'm likening the X Fusion forks too but they are a bit sticky from the off but feel nice and smooth after a few compressions. Going to try tubeless next (should've just got Bird to do it from the start) so hopefully no problems when I do!

Here's some pics when it was new.

And one after a muddy ride.

Great bike and really love riding mine.

Can't wait to put the Aeris through its paces.

Nice bike. I really like the look of the Bird hardtails.

Tried using Fork Juice on the stanchions? Might help them slide a bit easier from the start without having to wait for the lowers to move some oil around.

Never heard of the stuff but I'll look it up. It's only the first push that seems sticky though.

Very nice. Colours aren't too subtle are they?
I keep seeing more & more of these around. They must be good!
Looks like it's built to last as well.

Transferable warranty on the frames is usually a pretty good sign.
Just a real fun bike to ride which is what it's all about.

Mojo don't recommend using Fork Juice as they said long term it dries out the seals but I don't know how true this is.

The X Fusion always start off a little stiff and take a little longer than some to bed in but usually are good after 10-15 rides.

The colour looks more dayglo in the pictures than real life. Ben told me it was the same colour as the old Santa Cruz Chameleon which I'd seen and liked the colour of. It's a cracking frame though. As you say, it's built to last but also seems to build up pretty light too so kind of win win there.

So decided to change a few things on the Bird. I've been mainly road biking lately and with a trip to Wales coming up, though the update would get me back into the muddy stuff.

Got a set of Revelation XX 150mm forks for a bargain off Merlin (£250!) and gone 1x10 with a Raceface Aeffect crank and a 34t Absolute Black oval ring. I've also changed out the Deore brakes and rear mech for SLX.

    Heres some pics!

    Nice.
I am very tempted by one of these. I was looking on the Bird website last night and am seriously considering a Zero TR.

The TR looks great in the flesh and rides really well.

Keep debating about buying an AM vs spending money on an expensive 2nd set of wheels for my Procaliber HT as the cost wouldn't be that much more. As I'm swapping between surfaces at least once a week, to keep swapping over tubeless tyres that frequently is not ideal.

I was toying with getting an AM in stealth black when the XL's come in.

I sold my old AM due to sizing with a view to swap with the new sized AM. The Stealth looks really good in the flesh.
