I have a Focus Cayo Evo 2.0 Di2 (bought from the forum a couple of years ago) which is running 50/34 + 12/27. I struggle quite a bit on uphills and seem to require too high a cadence on downhills and so I was wondering if there is any benefit in changing to 52/36 + 11/32?

If there is a gain to be had what are compatible options for my Focus which I believe has a PF30 BB and Ultegra FC-6770.

Thanks

I'd go 50/34 11-32 initially. The 11 will mean you are less likely to spin out. Try this first rather than spending more money on rings too - you could find out 36 with a 32 cog is still not ideal. If you find you're still spinning out then go 52/36. However I run 50 ring 11T and I rarely, if ever, spin out on downhills. I used to ride 53/39 11-28, raced etc, still as fit, maybe fitter yet still prefer 50/36 11-32 (or 28) as Ive realised I climb much much faster when spinning up hills.

I ordered a PG1050 10 speed 11-32 which should arrive in the next couple of days so, as you say, I'll give that a try first.
There seems to be divided opinion on whether the RD-6770 will accommodate 11-32 so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

The 6770 won't take a 32, assuming it's a short cage. You need a GS (medium-cage) derailleur. I believe the 6770 is rated to 28T; you might be able to push it to 30T (although I wouldn't, because it's an expensive failure when this goes wrong).
