Hi Guys i'm new here just been reading some of the other posts for wisdom which has helped me narrow down my search but some input from yourselves would be most welcome
My choices so far are Norco Indie 3 2015 - £315 thanks to trading in my wreck of a bike from today lol
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/norco/indie-3-2015-hybrid-bike-ec075290#features
or
The widely mentioned VooDoo Marasa - £280
http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/hybrid-bikes-and-classic-bikes/voodoo-marasa-hybrid-bike-2013-2014-18
which is best? or are there other choices?
Looking for reliability really over anything
noticed halfords do CX carrera bikes with £370 saving making them £230?! are they any good?

Thanks for the help guys looking to buy this weekend in Chelmsford (no car so local suggestions help )

What did you buy in the end?
The hybrids have a better spec, the halfords CX I did look at when looking at a cheap CX0 -
The Halfords CX bike is a £250-300 bike, it is not, will never be and has never been a £600 bike. It's decent enough value, but don't think of it as an amazing bargain. For the £600 they claim its worth you could have a Planet-X London road with Avid BB7 disc brakes and SRAM Rival!
The Marasa is a very versatile bike, drop the bars a bit and fit 32mmtyres and its pretty fast onroad bike, fit some knobblies and it makes a decent rigid 29er MTB, amazing value as well.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
