I am heading to the Alps this July for a few weeks of downhill biking. Only really interested in descending using the uplift systems.

Our plan was the following:

Les Deux Alpes - 2 days Went Skiing there this year and looks excellent
Alpe D' Huez - 1 day Is it any good? haven't tried this resort..
Serre Chevaleir - 1 day Is it any good? haven't tried this resort..
Montgenevre - 1 day Is it any good? haven't tried this resort..
Bardonecchia - 1 day Is it any good? haven't tried this resort..
Prali - 1 day Is it any good? haven't tried this resort..
Sestriere - 1 day Is it any good? haven't tried this resort..
Sauze d'Oulx - 1 day Is it any good? haven't tried this resort..
Pila - 1-2 days Went last year was excellent
La Thuile - 1-2 days Went last year was excellent
Tignes / Val D'Isere 2-3 days Went last year was excellent
Les Arc - 1 day Been a few times not fussed either way
Meribel - 1 day Went last year was excellent

Anyone have experience with the resorts I haven't been to?

Anyone know anything about the Modane area??

Anyone have any other ideas, suggestions or experience i would be keen to know?

Thanks.

I speant a week in Morzine last year. Loads of well made trails of various gradings. Close to Les Gets/Chatel. Lots of lifts with easy access.

    Well worth a look!
Bikes are OK, I guess... :-)

If you are at Morzine/Les Gets and have your own vehicle go to Samoens, over the Col du Joux Plane from Morzine, more enduro style trails but not that many riding there in the week, spent 3 days there 2 years ago and really liked the place
