Ultegra CS-6800 14-28T

Just been looking at the 2015-2016 Shimano specification tables and noticed that they have added a new 11sp 14-28T combination, 14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,23,25,28. Interesting?

    Most likely, yes. Interesting that they would do that at Ultegra level though.

    Yes, that was my thought too. I have read threads about gearing, were people have commented that they would prefer a closer ratio cassette that dispensed with the 11/12T sprocket and used a 13T instead. Seems like this may fit the bill, if used with a compact 34/50T you still have a reasonable climbing gear, you lose out on the top end, 50-14 = 93.9", though gain the close ratios.
