Sram Red 10 speed compatible with 22 crankset

I'm after some advice running sram red 10 speed but will need to drop back to a compact chainset that was on my old frame that wouldn't fit the new frame, the GXP double did fit but I'm struggling with the change to the bigger rings from being used to the compact. Am I looking for a ten speed chainset only or is the 22 compatible too?
