Imagine the difference between them all is fairly marginal. Zondas, krysiriums or those, they'll all be fine.
I'd be concerned about the weight limit. 95 kg isn't much, really. I think I could go over that if I put some extra stuff in my backpack.0 -

Put the fork down .
Wont you run into more problems with the front wheel once you've removed the fork?

Just get some hand built wheels like these, they really aren't much more expensive than a pair of Zondas and can be built specifically to your needs viewtopic.php?f=40013&t=13026946&p=19586851WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

Just got my son some of these: http://www.rosebikes.co.uk/article/dt-s ... aid:645965 there was a 10% off a couple of weeks ago so came in around £150. Seem very good so far and good spoke count, considering the weight, so should be reliable. The hub uses the same or similar freehub to the DT350/DT240 hubs too - so they at least should be good.0

I bought at the same time and am really pleased with them. Did 150k on Saturday and they seem to roll nicely, they stayed nice and true, and look good. The freehub sounds really odd - but not important. Unfo I am still seeing them as out of stock - but so are the Cirrus0 -

Perhaps I am a bit heavier than you and have a worse history of buying cheap wheels - but I have had wheels that were out of true after the first long ride0 -
God I been at this for days. Spoke to a few people about getting handbuilt wheels, I just don't know enough. Want to spend £250 on wheels it really comes down to:
Fulcrum 5,
Fulcrum 3,
Campag Zonda (which are Fulcrum 3s)
Cole C24 LiteFood Chain number = 4

Can I also throw in Cero AR24s - £175 (reduced from £300 but seems to be a permanent reduction), rave reviews, light, easy to rebuild and even come with spare J-bend spokes and free tyres.

Were it not for the DT wheels from Rose, these would probably have been winging their way to me...0 -

I've got a magazine that sings the praises of he AR30s (which are out of stock). £100 out of my price range so will go for the AR24s (but I may save and go for the 30s).
Thanks!Food Chain number = 4

DDD. I've been looking at these Cero AR 24 wheels (i'm still on my cheapy wheels and tyres from the original bike purchase having done 2,500 miles on them).
At £185 including a set of Continental Grandsport Tyres they seem like excellent value. Did you end up buying them and what are your views?

Alternatively, has anyone else seen any super-duper wheel deals out there around the £200 mark?0 -

Fulcrum Racing Quattro (between Racing 3 and 5) for £180?

(10% off in the basket)
Or stretch slightly and get Zondas
Edit: Actually, the Zondas aren't much of a stretch - £220 in the basket and a host of recommendations further up this thread

That sounds like a fantastic offer Davis and thank you, but (forgive my ignorance, despite doing reasonable miles, I don't know one much about keeping the thing on the road) as I'm running Shimano on most other bits of the bike, will these be incompatible?0 -

They're very unlikely to fit your bike as-is.
The difference is that Campagnolo and Shimano chose different mounting splines to keep the cassette meshed with the back wheel.
SRAM borrowed Shimano's spline pattern, so they're interchangeable. Campag, just to annoy everyone, went for a different pattern, so they "only" fit a Campagnolo cassette (and therefore pretty much are Campag-only). There are adapters and mish-mash solutions, some of which work brilliantly.

Don't think they'd be compatible.
As an aside, Fulcrum = Campagnolo, and the Racing 3 are equiv spec to Zonda. So if Davis' excellent deal doesn't work out then the Shimano freehubbed Zonda should be a good equivalent for a tenner more.0 -
Ah well, corriebee1 can't use them; anyone else interested? Will take bank transfer or gold doubloons...Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.0

Hey all
Quick thread bump, but wondering what people's thoughts are on this deal from Ribble? Seems like decent value. Will these be a significant improvement on my Mavic CXP22's and the Shimano RS21's?
