11-32 to 11-28. Chain length?

Hi,

Ordered my Rose CGF with an 11-32 for the haute route in August.

For where I live a 28 or even a 25 would be fine.

Would I need to change my chain length? Or is it just a case of swapping the cassettes over?

If Rose have set it up in accordance with the Shimano recommendation, then it should be 2 links longer for the 32T sprocket than it would be for the 27T/28T, will be too long for a 25T. Why not just buy another chain to use with the 25T/28T. You won't know for sure until you get your bike and swop the cassettes over.

This is nonsense. If you move from a 11-32 to 11-28 the chain length will be fine. Using the 11-28 is just like using the 11-32 but not using the biggest two sprockets.
