Shimano front chainrings - Interchangeable?

Hi. I'm buying a Trek Domane that has Shimano Tiagra equipment. I've got mostly Tiagra on my other Trek, but I think the front chainring looks horrid, so hoping to swap it for a neater looking 105 or Ultegra.
Is a 105/Ultegra 50-tooth chainring interchangeable with the Tiagra crank? They look like the bolts are all in the same places, but I just thought I'd check before I take a look for the 105/Ultegra 50-tooth chainring.
Thanks.

As long as you use a compatible 5 bolt 5 arm 110 BCD chainring, eg.6750 5750, though check the price of the single ring against the complete crankset as sometimes there is not a lot of difference particularly with the superseded 6750 and 5750 models.0
