the Taff Trail - How to get to Brecon from Cardiff

Me and a friend are looking at riding The Taff trail this weekend and are going to be leaving from Cardiff. We wanted to get the train or bus, but turns out the bike bus only opens up as of 25th May and only on Sundays and bank holiday Mondays.
We did want to do the whole trail from Brecon rather than just the last 30 or so miles from Merthyr Tydfil.
Is anyone aware of another way to get to Brecon with 2 bikes rather than leave one car there (as we are limited to only one car on Saturday)
Any help or advice would be great.
