Morning Guys,
As I have just ordered a new bike (Anthem X2 2013), will be looking for some upgrades (yes, there will be plenty of questions).
First one is re: 3 to 2 rings reduction - as I noticed on my current bike I do not use the big one very often, most of the time Im on the middle one (however, I think it could be slightly bigger - something between big/mid):
a) Can I just remove bigger ring (probably put some bash plate instead) and replace (or leave) the middle on with the ratio that suits me ??
b) Do I need to shorten the chain accordingly (measure it big ring to big ring etc.)... ??
c) what is the best place to look for rings, bash plates etc ??
Thank you.
Chris

All you need to do is remove the ring and adjust the high limit screw. You don't have to shorten the chain, but you will probably need shorter chainring bolts.I don't do smileys.

Cheers CD,
If I go with bash guard instead of bigger ring, probably I don't need shorter bolts or am I wrong ?
