What freewheel remover?

Hi,

Trying to remove this freewheel+cassette and I am confused as to what tool i need to remove it?

    If you look up US patent US 5409422 A (written on it) it is about as much use as mamaries on a fish. . I'd use a big wrench if you cant get the lock ring removal tool. Loosen it up a bit with WD and knock the pegs in the lock ring with a drift.

    NOT a Shimano cassette tool, but yes indeed looks like a normal Freewheel remover is all you need, have a look on eBay.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    My Shimano Freewheel tool is different to the cassette tool, one certainly wont work in place of the other, not with mine anyway!
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Maybe so, the splines on my freewheel tool are too wide for a lockring, and the lockring tool doesn't 'bite' comfortably on a freewheel.

    They're absolutely not the same thing. But they are both pretty cheap.

    If I may ask a favour of the OP now, can you tell us more about that freewheel? I lost count a couple of times, but it looks like 13/15/18/21/24/36. What's that like, what's it for and is it some sort of special edition?

    Its a Megarange, one of my daughters bikes had it, I think the largest was a 32T from memory.
