specialized status vs norco truax

i'm looking for a bike that i can do a bit of everything on, with emphasis on dh/gravity courses, but the ability to do some uphill if i need to. I have owned a norco shore and a specialized demo in the past, and prefer the more solid feeling bikes. i need something that will go downhill nicely, jump well but also not be too tedious on flat/climbs. I have the option to get a 2014 specialized status 1 or a 2012 norco truax, which one would be best out of these two?

The Status is a really good DH/FR bike but no good for anything else.
Norco's gravity bikes aren't to my taste, I know people who had them and didn't like them.
For what you want I would look for a used Specialized Enduro
