Hi all Newbie here ,
Thought i'd share my first 29er, it's a Trek x-caliber 7 which I picked up from my LBS around a week ago, all standard aside from a Shimano chainstay protector and i've added a bottle cage. Not the top spec for the price range but does the job well and the frame is excellent, only doing XC/Light trail and quite abit of road use at the moment so it fits the bill! Took it around locally the other day for its first proper ride, it was good fun, out riding with a Carrera Fury 26er and Giant Talon 650b so a nice range between the 3 couple of pics, apologies for the overwhelming filters! i'll be upgrading bits as they fall off or ware out!
Thanks for reading!

Couple of bits changed since I got it,
- Black alloy pedals I had laying around, hardly used from an old bike, grip is surprisingly good.
- 180mm Front Rotor
- WTB seat, unsure exactly which one, possibly volt, have to double check, got it in the sale instead of a charge spoon, not regretting it so far
- Funn Locking grips
- Shimano Chainstay protector
- Answer 680mm Flat Bars, changed the riding position quite a bit for me, also lowered the stem by switching around the spacers, fits perfect now, might try out a shorter stem in the future.
Bits I'm looking to do:
- 2x10 Deore/SLX drivetrain
- Deore M615 Brakes
- Possibly some new air forks depending on cash over the next few months
- Try short stem/flat bar combo
Aside from that it has served me well so far, great fun but I have been having a cheeky look at full sussers :P might be a plan in the near future!
