So I came across this bike (specs bellow), but the specs don't really make sense (components must have been changed or something?)

Any help would be truly appreciated -

Not really a bargain at all. Doesn't look "very good condition" either, perhaps it was stored for 2 years in a hedge.

I don't know what s/h bike prices are like in Canada, and can only go from the pictures. But there are scrapes on seatstays, scrapes on mechs, the bike and groupset is old. I'd say steer clear and wait for something to come up that's a bargain. If it was in the UK and one of my friends bought it for £270 and showed it to me I'd be gutted for them really.

Chainrings and cassettescould be on their last legs, and I wouldn't be surprised as it simply does not look looked after to me, costs can soon add up replacing worn out bits. That model and age of bike would have to be in fantastic condition for me to suggest parting with £250 for it, and it isn't.

My advice is to just let it go and keep your eye out for other things. Something will come up for a bargain if you wait.
