Are Raleigh trying to make a come back with new RSP products and special edition choppers? Or are they tapping in to nostalgia?

I am excited but I hope it doesn't go the same way as the Technics audio relaunch.

Other opinions?

? Choppers have always been terrible.

But otherwise, perhaps links would help.

I don't think you can call it nostalgia, I can't see middle age people going out to buy one, they'll be sold to a brand new set of young consumers, that's a different kettle of fish.

I must agree with cooldad they were terrible but anything that will get kids out on two wheels is a plus point.

Some of the RSP bikes were excellent, but the bulk of Raleighs were serious sh1t. Activator anyone?

I had an Activator. It got nicked by a crusty after Pilton Pop Festival kicked out.
I chased the stinking hippy down the road.
Never been so sad to see a Levellers tee shirt wearing, dreadlocked, unwashed, traveller (probably called Tarquin Forbes-Smythe) pedalling in to the distance back to mummy and daddy's stately home.

I tried but missed. I was only young, my throwing arm was weak.

I had an Activator - still have it, although it's in bits in the back garden at the moment and will probably end up going for scrap after I've taken anything of use off it.
