To my uneducated eye they look pretty good value, but I can't find any reviews so wondered how they compare to the usual recommendations around this price like a B'Twin, Calibre or Carerra
I've been inclined towards getting a Carrera as there's no declathlon near me and I've seen the tips to get 20% off which makes them great value (even ignoring Halfords stupid pricing tactics)

Neither looks great, the forks don't mention if they are mechanical lockout (rubbish fork) or hydraulic (Just about OK), I suspect the Pro is HLO and the Kili mechanical.
For a 29er the Pro is OK, but you'd get a better Carrera 27.5 or Voodoo 26" for the same money.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Thanks.
I think I'll go with the Carrera Kraken, with the various discounts it'll work out at around 360 which seems impossible to beat value. (I can't really justify the jump to the Fury).
The 13 alpha also looks to have a good spec (and pretty much the same price as the Kraken) but doesn't have the established reputation of the Carrera's

Well 13 is a Halfords own brand, the same as Carrera, and the frames and bike assembly is by the same Merida Factory in Taiwan, so I wouldn't let that affect your buying decision. Its the cheapest bike you can get with a fork above an Suntour XCx with larger than 26" wheels I believe.
It does have a silly seatpost though, the logo prevents it being fully lowered, but a replacement need not cost a fortune!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
