Some mates were at BPW on Friday (May 1st). When the minibus got to the top one lad (who they did'nt know) realised his bike was no longer on the trailor. There was five minibuses running that day and they all helped to try and find the bike which was on the left hand side of the trailor when it fell off so it could'nt have gone far as the drop is on the right hand side of the fire road

When they were driving up they did'nt see anybody riding up, the only person they saw was a guy riding a horse. I guess maybe he could have seen the bike and took/stashed it but who knows. We were just wondering if anybody had heard anything more as when they left it still had'nt been found. No idea what bike it was either

Thought I'd update this - read from a Facebook group that the original owner now has his bike back.

    Happy days.

Hmm, bet the uplift provider is breathing a sigh of relief as there would seem to be a good negligence case there.

Some of the drivers will check all the bikes are strapped nice and tight but others weren't so eagle eyed. There was no mention of how to put your bikes on the trailer last time I went either which isn't great for first timers

I have only ever seen one bike fall off an uplift and that was a Santa Cruz Syndicate V10 carbon race bike. Nothing more than a scuffed bar end fortunately.
The BPW uplift drivers are usually pretty good for checking but no matter how careful they are you can guarantee that the one thy miss will be the one which isn't on properly.

They've been quite keen on every uplift I've done there, checking the bikes and showing anyone who looks uncertain.
All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.
