Hope jockey wheels with SRAM X9 RD

I have just bought a pair of Hope jockey wheels to replace the worn, original jockey wheels in my SRAM X9 RD (2011 model with single hole jockey wheels).

The Hope top wheel come with a brass bush but the SRAM bolt will not fit through this. Is it ok to fit the jockey wheel without this bush?

Sounds like a Shimano requirement not used on SRAM, is the jockey wheel a snug fit on the bolt?

It fits fine without the brass bush, but I wanted to make sure I could use it like that.

I would except they are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Thanks, Russyh. I have fitted them now so I'll keep an eye on the top one.

edit - Just found this exploded diagram on the Hope website. It states that the bush is optional.
