My current wheel needs replacement, what's the recommendation?

Standard 8spd setup and open to suggestions, roadie mainly and have no idea what I'm looking at on for example, Superstar site with different options, all I'm after is a decent wheel or wheels to replace the current OEM set, rim brakes, standard!

Help!

Shimano Deore are excellent and cheap.

Merlin cycles custom build with Rim brake, something like a Deore hub and 319 rim I would suggest.

8,9,10 speed wheels have the same cassette freehub by the way.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
