Is it normal to keep finding cuts and bruises after a ride and no idea how they got there?
I have a rather nasty gash in my forearm but no recollection of how I did it. This happens a lot.

Constantly happens to me. My arms look like a patchwork of white lines and blobs in the summer from all the small cuts and scratches.Bird Aeris : Trek Remedy 9.9 29er : Trek Procaliber 9.8 SL0

The worst case I have heard of was a mate finding out two weeks after a relatively small crash that he had broken his neck. He had completely forgotten about the crash but a minor neck ache just kept getting worse so he went for a check up and they found two fractured vertebrae in his neck.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I remember having a really pain foot for about 3 months which I figured was a broke bone in there which was a bit uncomfortable to walk on but I have no recollection as to how it happened. I left it alone and sorted itself out eventually.Bird Aeris : Trek Remedy 9.9 29er : Trek Procaliber 9.8 SL0

Adrenaline and endorphins (both of which may well be released in the course of a bike ride) may very well mean you pick up a minor (or potentially not so minor!) injury and not notice, I get little cuts and abrasions all the time that I only notice when I get in the shower.0
