Bb grief

Had a new sram gxp installed about 2.5months ago, done about 1000km off-road since then. It's already creaking under power and developed play of a couple of mm in it. Is this normal? Will take it to the lbs in the next few days but just wondering. I'm also wondering if my chain-line not being perfect (1 by 10 using the outside ring on a double crank) would be causing extra strain causing it to go quicker.
Got a race next weekend and the weekend after so not the ideal time for issues

Hi Ferrals
My Specialized likes BB as well first one lasted 6 month and the second 5 months ( Shimano Octalink ) talking to the mechanic in my local ish Specialized bike shop he asked how many miles a week I do which is around 60-70 mile a week, he seemed to think it was fine, got to be honest I don't.0 -

The BB shell was faced when the external Beering system was first fitted?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I checked cranks earlier but will double check.
Not sure if the shell was faced, got the lbs to fit the bb before which was a direct replacement for the one which cam on the bike0 -
Reckon its ok to leave this for a couple of weeks? got races the next couple of weekends and not sure if the bike shop will be able to do it in time.0
