Repairing a rolled Tub
Hi,
I haven't seen any posts of this nature so i thought id ask for advice. I rolled a tub in the velodrome in a crash, it didn't puncture, however some of the base tape tore of the tub. Its not alot, maybe 2 inches in total, and only partially torn, none is missing.
Is it possible to get this repaired? the tub had done less than 50k and all indoors it would be a shame to bin it
Thanks in advance

some tub glue should sort it0

you can reglue the basetape, it's straightforward
on many tubs it is stuck on with latex when manufactured, but i find it hard to get a strong/consistent bond using latex for repairs
for repairing mine (road not track) i use barge cement, it's a strong contact adhesive, you can still pull off the tape if needed to fix the tub at a later datemy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
I've only used the late, great Pete Burgin previously.

glue it back on with impact adhesive (evostick). When I repaired my own tubs (many years ago) its the method I always used and never let me down.0
