Giro di Lombardia/Grand fodo

Hi all,

I was having trouble finding out if there was a organised ride before the Giro di Lombardia for us mere morals. Like the ones before Liege etc.
Does anyone know of one, or shall we just go down, ride the route on Saturday and watch it on Sunday?

There was one but they don't do it any more. Think they stopped in 2010 or 11 which is a pain b/c I never got the chance to do it.

I think the best proxy is the Fabio Casartelli memorial which I think takes in some of the climbs.

You must ride the incredible Muro di Sormano which is mental. I churned up it in a 36x26 which was not sufficient.

Alternatively you could call some bike shops in Como or Lecco and ask around.
