Hi,
I have narrowed it down to the following hardtail MTB, but would really appreciate any comments/opinions that you might have, or any other recommendations for this sort of budget.
Do any of the following stand out as being better than the others?

Also what are your thoughts on the remote CTD on the fox forks? Is it worth the extra £100 (from what I can tell) instead of the manual adjuster on the top of the fork? I like the idea of it, but is it really necessary.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Out of those, I'd probably go for the Giant.
However, have you looked at the Bird Zero? It's a fantastic bike for the money, UK built too.

Or, On One have a good range of bikes for ~£1k..

As for the CTD remote - I'd personally not bother. I've had remote forks in the past and it just cluttered the handlebars... you can easily reach down and flick the ctd switch, it only takes 2 seconds, although my CTD forks stay in descend 99% of the time, it makes climbing more fun..0 -
Another vote for either a bird or on one brilliant value.SHUT UP AND RIDE!!!
