"Testy" seems to be Kirby's new favourite word, can someone please buy him a dictionary? If not, I can see myself becoming quite testy.

He's been mis-using that word for years. Pales into insignificance amongst all his other verbal diarrhoea though.

Greipel's climbing well for a big lump this year, anyone think he's trying to change into more of a Thor type classics rider?

He cant win sprints with the best or usually the second best may as well try something.
It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.

Decent stage today (well, last 10km). Surprised Cav got dropped on that final climb. Less surprised Carlton failed to notice his absence and seemed to put the fact there were no EQS riders chasing the late break down to them burning themselves out on the climb!

How come Cav's got two right hands?

    You don't like Kirby's over-exposed 'testy' calls?

Astana rider apparently DQ'd today for punching someone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dtr7elr8Lys

Pretty impressive effort. Swing a punch, get off bike, go for a second go, get back on bike before the peloton has gone through.

That said they were hardly tanking it.

Must have hit him pretty well considering how inelegant he tried to get that bike rolling again..

Does the SouthEast rider just cycle off the edge of the road afterwards?

It looks like these Astana boys will do anything they can to make sure they don't have to race. If they don't get thrown off the race for doping, they'll assault someone and get the early flight home instead. They are a (bad) joke.

Mark Cavendish will never win an easier sprint than that. No-one challenged him at all.

Excellent riding by EQS to deliver Cav today after losing a minute over the climb with 20km to go and then he looked like his old self in the sprint albeit against limited opposition. Ratto riding an extremely consistent race.

Lot's of people keeping the riders on their toes by wandering aimlessly across the road.

Also Rebellin out due to a crash...but no one particularly caring

This race keeps catching me out as it's on so early. When I watched yesterday I assumed it was highlights of Friday.

You haven't missed too much. Break of 4 with Keisse on the front of the peleton pegging the break. Lots of wandering dogs and people though.

They could do with some padding on the first of the concrete barriers where they have the chicane through roadworks. Judging by the punctures there's also a bit of debris there too.

Cav deserted at 500m. Great win for Caja Rural and Cav holds on for 2nd after leading from 500m out. Really used the technical finish well there.
