Hi guys,

Have been mountain biking for about a year now, my current bike is a boardman 650b comp. It's been a good bike but as I've advanced with my riding I want something abit more.

I ride a lot of the North downs, so a lot of hill climbing and rapid decents, I also enjoy going bedgbury when I can.

My choices I've come down too are:

The Whyte 901 http://whyte.bike/gb/models/trail/trail ... 50b/901-2/

And the new brand from halfords

The 13 incline delta http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/m ... -2015#tab1

My budget is around about £1200. Even though the 13 incline delta is normally £1400 I have a voucher for halfords which brings the cost down to just under £1100 which make this bike so tempting price wise.

The whyte 901 has some great reviews online, out doing many other bikes.

The 13 has a great spec but the frame seems to let it down according to reviews.

What are people's opinions? Thanks.

I would say that 13 is more comparable to the 905 than the 901

Take a look at the Bird Zero.

I have a 905 (same frame as 901 I think) & it's great - very capable on the rough stuff. Seems light.

Agree that Bird looks good too.
