I'm Toying with the idea of replacing the standard Monarch R rear shock on my Anthem X2 for something that can provide a lockout feature such as the RL/RT3 (If they make it in the size I need).

Can anyone tell me exactly what size I require? I've been searching online for a while but keep seeing different figures popping up. The most common size linked to Giant bikes I found being 165mm-38mm.

I've seen others saying measure eye to eye but I'm no where near the bike to do this and no where near the handbook so just thought I would ask to see if any of you knew off the top of your heads.

An old employer gave me US$300 to spend at Amazon.com a year ago so wanting to get it all spent and shipped to the UK.

Best bet would be to give the likes of tf tuned a call or even email them. They're helpful and know their stuff.

Yup, I've just not long received an email from them asking me to call. I'll give them a buzz later. Thanks

    you could measure it?

Its 165mm i2i and 38mm stroke, you'll need to get the same tune of shock too.

I'm not near the bike for a few weeks.
I just thought I would ask if anyone knew off the top of their heads to save me waiting for weeks to get home then having to wait longer for parts to arrive.

I spoke to TFTuned as suggested but they have no bike information for this model so can't assist until I'm next to the bike. I'll just put it on hold until I return to the UK.

why not phone giant to make sure but 165-38 is the most likely size given the information I read online. will be much easier to buy while you are in the states.

I'll hold off until I get home and have a go at measuring it myself and setting it up following the guides. See how I feel with it after that.
