Marzocchi or maybe just Tenneco could be closing up shop apparently:

Poorly written piece.
The original some weeks ago is about the MC part, as the MTB section has been in Taiwain since 2007."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I would guess as Marzocchi is owned outright by Tenneco the Taiwan manufacturing plant has very little choice in if it will carry on or not. They have apparently told manufacturers in the US they are exiting suspension totally.0 -
Doesn't look god does it. Maybe it will be rescued by an entrepreneur? Maybe not, bit sad news though.0

Marzocchi MTB are completely separate from the motorbike side, its an entirely independant company. They put a statement up on facebook to say they are continueing as usual.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Can't see the statement on their page? Last post was a week ago. I hope it's not true.0

They did tweet still here or something, plus they were just showing off their 2015 range at Sea Otter...Cube Analog 2012 with various upgrades.0

Theres another post today. The motorcycle division has been hit by a downturn in the motorcycle industry while the bicycle business is doing well and is profitable so bicycle suspension production will continue as before.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Thats good to hear, their new range of products looks great. It would be such a shame.0

Personally I think their products are seriously under rated. I think the 350ncr fork is better than the Pike and the top spec 380 downhill fork is the best fork I have ever ridden.
The Rocco Lite air shock is really nice except for a slightly too rigid pedal platform.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
That's good to hear, one of the bikes I've been looking at getting a mondraker dune has those 350 ncr forks.0

What happened there anyway?
About ten years ago, when I stopped riding, Marzoochi were arguably "the" name in mtb suspension and had been for a while, when I returned to the sport 2 years ago they were trying to make a come back from a massive downturn, did they encounter reliability problems?Bird Aeris. DMR Trailstar. Spesh Rockhopper pub bike.0 -
They used Suntour for manufacturing and brought out the horrifically unreliable ATA travel adjustable forks.
They were so bad that TF tuned refused to service them incase they randomly exploded straight after.
They are now extremely reliable and very good but don't yet have the reputation of Rockhopper or Fox. I would have a Marzocchi 350ncr over a Pike RCT3.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Let's hope they find a buyer quickly, imagine if Shimano bought themselves a suspension company! Fox would be a bit screwed...Cube Analog 2012 with various upgrades.0

Wonder how much they want for the MTB side of things...All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

don't yet have the reputation of Rockhopper or Fox.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I think shimano buying them would be a good move. Not only will they benefit from shimano's reputation but it would also open up more OE use too.0

Fox would be a bit screwed...
How come?0 -

You might have missed Fox's purchase of RaceFace last year which also brings with it Easton as well taking Fox into the shimano market of wheels, bars, chain sets etc etc.0 -

Because my Sony Xperia Z3 mobile telephone has the most stupid autocorrect predictive spelling thing which randomly changes words.
I blame Orange.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Anyone seen any further news on this one?
Hoping someone swoops in, buys them out and keeps it rocking..0 -
Not seen anything yet but it looks like my Marzocchi 350cr is completely forked due to a foot bolt made from cheese.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Would those be the same ones you've been trying to convince people to buy?I don't do smileys.
