point me on the right direction

I am taking the familly away at the start of May into France in our campervan. I will be taking my bike with and was hoping to head over to the alps to catch some bubble lifts to get some nice long descents back down. However looking into it a bit more I can't find anywhere that has a running lift system.
so.... I need some advice of where to head to get some good riding in france?? I will have the familly with me to and will only get to ride for a morning or afternoon about 2 out of every 3 days so the destination has to offer something for the rest of the time.... oh and I will have 3 weeks do can travel around to a few areas.
BTW sorry ... I know this should go in the holiday section but need to book ferry asap so looking to firm up our plans quickly.
