Entries are open. It's on the 5th July. I have entered again and hopefully I will do better than my 31.30 last year!
RIP commute...

I'm in both; trying to get my entry for the second transmogrified into a tandem entry, so I can race with TGOTB junior...

Did it two years ago with my 1980 Sannino... 29 minutes I seem to remember.

Nice, but no cake... and 11 quid with no cake is not for me...

Oh dear. When you pass me on the commute I can always claim I'm recovering or tapering. This is going to require a better calibre of excuse...

23.08 - not stellar for that course, but power was good (course PB I suspect), and I seemed to be going well against the usual suspects, so I'll blame it on the wind :-) Course was busy, at times it felt a bit like working your way through the field in a CX race.

Nice to catch up, shame you couldn't get a ride. All the best for the operation!

    cheers. good time that!

i dont like this riderhq method. it actually spoils the event (and thats not just because i didnt get a ride). it makes a nice quiet evening TT incredibly busy. its gone the way of the velopark tt...

    shame really.

hope it quietens down later in the season but whether i go back or not is now up for debate.

I think it's the other way round. The event's been getting more popular every year, and I think that when it got to the stage where numbers were going to have to be limited, they saw RiderHQ as the easiest and fairest way to manage that.

It's still a great format; at most I probably lost 3 or 4 seconds to traffic "issues", and for the most part I was able to ride pretty much as if I'd been the only rider on the circuit. I can certainly think of worse ways to spend a Wednesday evening...

I'm in for both, undecided if I will ride TT bike for both or do one on road and one on TT.

I'll be searching for my 4th win, not sure how strong the competition is yet as not full, but I can see the road cat has some decent riders.

Be interesting to see how you get on Rower, Ian Paine is extremely strong and is entered for the road cat, and Xavier (my coach) is also in who is pretty rapid round there being an aero guru!

I'll have left London by then. Shame as I'd have liked another crack at this. Managed 2nd in the Road category a few years ago.

Yep - felt slow. Crawled up Sawyers. Not actually that much slower than usual in the end but felt overweight / slow up the hills, then undergeared / slow down the hills. Will fit a double for the next one, was spinning out on 50/11 (which has never been an issue previously).

Not a good day for me, felt slow and power was down. Haven't been doing much racing this year, so not sure whether to blame it on jour sans or old and fat. Saving grace is that my legs still feel fresh for tonight's 25.

Looking forward to the next one - will be doing it on the tandem with my daughter to celebrate her 9th birthday :-)

Yeh it was slow up Sawyers for sure, but really fast down it, its saying I hit nearly 50mph but I think that is a glitch, but certainly mid 40's.

Hopefully the conditions a bit more favourable for the next one.
